Before consulting a medical specialist, you must first consult a general practitioner who will assess your state of health and refer you to a medical specialist if necessary. Find out more.
As a Federation, we cannot answer medical questions. For information related to a health issue, you must consult a physician.
Complaints about care must be sent to the local service quality and complaints commissioner of the institution where you received health services or to the Collège des médecins du Québec.

If you are a medical specialist, member of the FMSQ, and wish to update your contact information, log on to the secure section and go to the Edit my profile page.
You can have a training activity accredited by the FMSQ, which is an organization accredited by the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) and the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC). It is also an organization providing continuing professional development (CPD) activities accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. As such, it can accredit training activities.
The FMSQ grants continuing education credits only for activities organized by a recognized physician organization (for example: a national or regional Canadian physician association, a hospital centre's CMDP, a hospital department, a scholarly society of physicians, an association or federation of physicians).
